Elena N Anisimova (artistic pseudonym is Elen Flame)

As a seven Elena entered a music school, majoring in piano. In the same year she started composing music. Later she obtained a diploma with distinction in piano and composition at the M. Glinka Music College in Dnepr, Ukraine.
Then Elena continued her studies in composition and piano at the Music Academy in Odessa, Ukraine.

Elena received the "Audience Applause" diploma at the competition for composers who write music for theater.

And then graduated from the Odessa Music Academy, Ukraine, with a Masters Degree with Honors in Composition, Musicology and Music Studies. Her successful application for the Baden-Württemberg Erasmus grant enabled her to study composition at the University of Music in Freiburg i. Br. To supplement. She continued her studies in composition and piano at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart as a postgraduate course and completed it successfully.

Elena won the second prize with the piece "The Breath of the Sea" as part of the composition competition "Sound Worlds by the Sea".

During her doctoral studies, she completed a colloquium for master’s students in musicology and music informatics as part of the doctoral program at IMWI Karlsruhe.

Elena took part in numerous concerts, international festivals and symposia as a pianist, composer and musicologist in Germany, Ukraine, Switzerland and the USA

In 2018 she reseived the title of Doctor of Philosophy at the Institute for Musicology and Music Informatics, Karlsruhe, with Professor Dr. Thomas A. Troge after completing his doctorate.

Elena experiments a lot with sound and she always looks for new artistic ways. She writes music for various instruments. She also uses different preparation techniques for instruments including audio-visual installations and new technologies.
